Meetings held at:
The Barns Hotel
Date and Time of Meetings
1st Thursday of the Month at 7.30pm.
The Club was founded by a small group of MG enthusiasts in August 2001 and held its early meetings at The Woolpack Inn at Weston. The Club soon established itself as providing an excellent social side along with organised motoring events. Membership grew steadily and in late 2005 the Club moved its base to The Barns Hotel at Huntington where we still meet today.
The membership has now grown to over 90 people with a collection of over 85 cars ranging from pre-war T types through to the latest models, all types and ages of MG are welcome.
Our social programme includes monthly Club nights along with our popular Third Thursday Coffee mornings and summer evening’s pub meal runs. For our MG driving enthusiasts we organise Tulip route runs to a range of interesting venues along with attending Classic car shows and car factory visits. Every year we organise 3 and 4 day away day trips, recent destinations abroad have included, The Isle of Man, Northern Brittany, Northern Ireland and Belgium. At home we have toured Yorkshire, Wales, The Broads and Norwich.
Looking to join vibrant MG club? Then why not come along to a Club night at the Barns for a warm welcome and see what SMGEC can offer. Full membership details and contacts can be found on our website www.smgec.org.uk along with our programme of events for the year.
